F.A.Q.

  • My kid has never been to day care before and I’m not sure what to expect! We created WeVillage to provide an amazing environment with open, social-based care. We’re here for busy parents who don’t have or need full-time care. If you have a question you don’t see answered below, please don’t hesitate to call (503.935-5590) or email info@wevillage.com!
  • What do they do all day? WeVillage’s certified teachers design specific curriculum, so kids get structure and socialization (which is HUGE for the 2-4 set)! Our teachers are loving, attentive, smart and cater to the group! Click here for a sample schedule.
  • Do I need immunization records? No!
  • What do I need to bring? Please bring a change of clothes (don’t forget socks! WeVillage is a shoe-free facility), and a blanket for nap time. If your child is still in diapers, bring diapers and wipes.
  • What about food? We provide complimentary snacks of juice, milk and crackers at 10am, 4pm and 8:30pm. You can purchase lunch or dinner and extra snacks! Vegetarian options also available for dinner. Please: no outside dinner food allowed! If your child has a food allergy, please let us know. (Outside dinner food is allowed for children with food allergies.)
  • Why do I need to bring socks? At WeVillage we pride ourselves on providing a clean, sanitary environment. Shoes are taken off at the door.
  • Do I need to make a reservation? Reservations aren’t necessary, but we do get full so if you’re worried and want to make sure you’re covered, just give us a call. Saturday night and PPS day reservations are strongly recommended.
  • What is your TV/video game policy? In the afternoon and late evening, we allow an age-appropriate movie for quiet time. Also available are non-violent, active Wii games. If you want us to keep your child engaged away from the television, just let us know and we will keep them busy!
  • Do you offer sibling rates? We offer amazing sibling rates! Please see our rates section for more information.
  • Do you go outside at all? We go on walks to Jameson Square and to the park blocks at Couch and Park Ave. If you don’t want your child to participate just let us know and a staff member will stay back with him/her.
  • What about early closures? Please get us your email address and phone number so we can alert you of these!
  • What about PPS days? Big kids are out of school and activities will be mixed for accommodating all ages. Book a spot for sure!
  • Who can pick my child up? No one else can pick up your child unless prior consent has been given and the person picking up shows a valid photo ID.
